Closer to home, experience the unique western influence of the Wyoming Old Frontier Prison, located within blocks of the Rimrock Lodge. Hear the saga of how villains of the Old West were captured and retained in the prison environment, including the legendary story of Big Nose George.

You'll want to be sure not to miss seeing the Mormon Hand Cart Visitor Center only 45 minutes up Highway 287. The Rimrock Lodge is the closest lodging facility to this attraction. Perhaps you are looking for a more peaceful, relaxing time fly fishing on the world-renowned North Platte River or enjoying boating activities on the Seminole Reservoir.
